1.Smile…it will brighten your day and others around you will feel your energy.
2.Stretch…cats know that total body stretch does wonders.Follow their example and roll up slowly out of bed and stretch gently.(For more tips on stretching here is a great book:AM/PM Stretch for Health.)
3.Exercise…at least 20 mins of any continuous activity will boost your energy level and reduce bad stressors. You don’t even to pay a membership fee.The key is continuous like a 20min walk or even mopping your floors. You will look and feel better.
4.Drink water. No other liquid is quite like it.Clear your system.8 glasses are recommended daily.Your skin will radiate.
5.Rest.you need to take breaks during the day and sleep at night.Takes breaks away from work space to keep fresh and focused.Make sure you are getting sufficient sleep at night since your body regenerates while you are sleeping. If you are constantly letting your mind wonder make a conscious decision to put away thoughts till morning. It is amazing how good your subconscious mind listens to your conscious mind(so be careful what you tell yourself)
6.Do good. When you do something for someone else without expecting anything in return you benefit in ways unimaginable.(the key is don’t expect anything in return)
7.Exchange…the money you spend on junk food for food that will enrich your body and soul.Start with a simple plan of exchange.Because some think healthy foods cost more, find out your spending pattern by making 2 lists:
.foods you like that are healthy that you normally don’t buy
.foods you like that are“junk food”that you normally buy
calculate the cost of the 2nd list then use this amount to fund your“healthy”purchase.(of course you have to say bye-bye to the“junk food”)
8.“Stop and smell the roses”.Look for good in everything. This is a toughie because most of us are“trained”to look for faults, errors, shortcomings, defects, etc.Begin with yourself.List all your assets(not just physical). Then realize all the good in being you.Move on to other things around you.Work on this consciously every day till it becomes a habit. There is something good about everything and everyone.Once you realize this you will be finding good everywhere without even trying.
9.Learn…something new every day.Pick up a book.or search online.Learn to do something you have always wanted to do.You can even start for free by researching online.Search the subject and start stimulating and enriching your mind today.
10.Reward yourself.Set financial and personal goals and tag them with rewards for accomplishing them.(this one may be something special you have always wanted to do.and not necessarily a purchase. But if you have done all the above maybe go ahead and splurge a little. You deserve it!

Acne Remedies
Garlic is known for its anti bacterial properties and makes an excellent acne treatment.Press some garlic into a paste and leave it on your acne and pimples for 15 minutes then rinse off.Another solution is mashed-up honey and apple, applied individually to pimples. Also, try dabbing some tea tree oil on the pimple to dry it out and kill any bacteria.

Eyeshades complete Makeup

Eyes are the focal point of makeup because it’s the eyes that are the window to the soul after all. With the wide range of eyeshade colors available it is impossible to decide which one is your best choice.
Fair skin should choose cooler eyeshades like grays and pinks. If you have a medium complexion, warmer colors of eyeshades will look great on you. If your skin tone is dark, choose cool or warm tones of eyeshades.
Here are some eyeshades applying tips which will make your eyes stand out.
* Don't match your eyeshade with your eyes or your clothes so that attention remains with your eyes and not your makeup!
* For day makeup, base color and mascara are the only things you need to wear for eyes.
* High quality powder eyeshades can be used wet for heavier application.
* Lighter eyeshades help eyes look bigger while darker shades make eyes look smaller.
* Neutral eyeshades like browns and beiges look natural while brighter eyeshades like blue and green is dramatic and artificial makeup.
* Sweep a light or medium-tone eyeshade on the lid and slightly darker eyeshade above the eyes crease to downplay the brow bone.
* To glamorize eyes for night outs, add shimmer to eyeshade makeup to highlight your eyes.
* To lift up tired eyes extend the color from the outer corner of the lid upwards to give your eyes a feline shape

How To Shake Dandruff Flakes Away

If you have dandruff, do not worry about being alone with your problem. With one out of every two people in the entire world having, or having had, that same problem as yours, you are definitely not alone with it. Dandruff is a common hair problem. Embarrassing indeed, but a very, very common problem nonetheless.
What causes dandruff? Well, you see, our entire skin, from our scalps to the soles of our feet, sheds dead skin cells on a daily basis. We get a complete coating of new skin every 28 days or so, but we hardly even notice it.
Our bodies also play host to a lot of microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, feeding off on the sebaceous oils that our skin produces. Our scalp in particular is home to a kind of fungus called malassezia fungus, and its food is the oils produced by the hair follicles of our scalp. Dandruff happens when, for some reason or another, the malassezia fungus goes crazy and irritates our scalp, causing the dead skin to shed a lot faster. So, instead of shedding the dead skin cells of our scalp for a month, the shedding happens in less than two weeks, and the oil that our hair follicles produce cause these dead skin cells to clump together and become dandruff. Until now, the factors that trigger this phenomenon with the malassezia fungus are still the subject of research.
Dandruff is an embarrassing hair condition, and it can recur despite your best efforts. But with proper hair care, the recurrence of dandruff can be controlled. The best way to keep the flakes at bay is to shampoo your hair every day - picture perfect hair.
Dandruff can, of course, become stubborn, so if washing everyday with your regular shampoo does not stop the flakes from becoming haywire, the next best thing to do would be to start using anti-dandruff shampoos. Look for anti-dandruff shampoos with zinc pyrithione, selenium sulfide, salicylic acid or ketoconazole as the active ingredient. To keep your scalp from developing immunity to these shampoos, go ahead and rotate brands at least once a month.
For optimum results, you can lather your hair with the shampoo of your choice twice. The first wash will clear the scalp of the flakes and the oil buildup. The second one would let the chemicals in the shampoo get absorbed by the scalp - haute hair.
You can also try homemade remedies to wash the flakes away and to keep the dandruff from recurring. What is considered the best homemade remedy to dandruff is a vinegar wash. Mix two teaspoons of vinegar with six teaspoons of water and rub it against your scalp before you go to bed, then wrap your head with a towel. Apply the same solution to your hair once again in the morning when you wake up, then rinse it with water. You do not have to worry about the smell of vinegar in your hair, as the smell of vinegar does evaporate eventually.
Whatever you do, never, ever scratch the clumps with your fingernails. It will cause wounds on your scalp.
Dandruff is an embarrassing hair condition, but it is not unmanageable. Just take good care of your hair and the flakes will go away.

Skin Care Advice

Tip of the Week: Proper skin care is very important! in achieving a beautiful makeup look. Start by cleansing, toning, and moisturizing your skin. This allows a nice palette with which you can then apply makeup. You´ll feel better about yourself too. It´s all about personal hygiene. Make sure to use products that are alcohol free!
Alpha hydroxy acids are naturally occurring, non-toxic substances that enable older or damaged skin to rejuvenate and resemble younger looking skin. Lucky for us, they’re found in edible fruits and vegetables, but if you’ve been around a while and especially if you’ve been a sunworshiper, you might benefit from an AHA product applied regularly. A good AHA product rejuvenates and helps form new skin. AHAs work well combined with Retin-A to prevent precancerous skin lesions. This combination will also reverse brown sun spots, fine lines and wrinkles — common changes associated with aging. The most common alpha hydroxy acid used for treatment of serious skin problems such as acne are lactic acid and glycolic acid. AHAs, alone or with other substances, can stimulate the natural process of exuviation–a fancy word that means older (or damaged) skin rejuvenates and becomes younger and healthier-looking.

1. A moisturizer is a daytime product. It usually has a sunscreen and serves as surface protection for your skin from pollution. It also gives a nice slip so you can easily apply foundation. A night time product is meant to nourish the skin and penetrate. Your skin cells rejuvenate at night and so moisture must be replaced while you are sleeping. So catch a few winks and dream about how beautiful your skin will look in the morning because you used a night cream.

3. Most women would like to know their skin type. Is it determined by heredity or life style? I would say both. Since your genes determine your hair color and eye color, so too your skin type. Hormones play a big part in the equation. Adolescents know too well that acne and puberty go hand in hand. A maturing person will generally have a drier skin due to the slowing down of the production of oils by the sebaceous glands. As for your lifestyle affecting your skin, there is a correlation between diet, sleep, alcohol, exercise and how your skin looks and feels. Be sure to drink plenty of water to flush impurities out of your skin and body.
——————————
4. Cleansing the skin is on the top of my list for proper skin care. If you don´t keep the skin clear of make-up and debris (pollution) you can´t have a smooth looking complexion. Be sure to wash with a mild cleanser in the morning and in the evening. Before bedtime it is important to remove makeup from the day. In the morning you have residue from night cream or just oil and perspiration. Always follow with toner recommended for your skin type.
——————————
5. If you want to make a herbal facial steam, find sweet smelling flowers and put them into an open bag to dry for 3 days. Then let them dry in the sun for 2-3 hours. Finally arange them in a(plastic-ziplock) bag and put them in the middle of a heavy book, pressing down. Add more heavy books, and after a week, pull the petals off the flowers and put them in a pan and add water. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat to low. Put your head over the pot and drape a towel over you, enclosing the pan. Follow with a splash of cool water. This will also give you a rosy glow! Or take a warm bath and add Colosé Massage Oil with Aromatic Herbs, much easier and quicker!.
——————————
6. Most women are unsure what type of skin they are. How can you tell? First, ask yourself if you have any oiliness, dryness, or signs of aging. If you are oily all over, you are an oily skin. If you are oily in the T zone and dry on the cheeks, you are probably a combination skin. If you are moderately to extremely dry on the cheeks you are a dry skin. If you have signs of aging, more than likely you have a dry skin.
——————————
7. Melanoma (skin cancer) can be detected in its early stages and treated. Those with fair skin and blue eyes, those who had a blistering sunburn in their youth, and those who are genetically predisposed, may develop melanoma sometime in their lifetime. You and your doctor should examine your skin for any new moles or changes to existing ones. The dermatologist may decide to biopsy the area in question to determine if it is cancerous or not. If it is cancerous, a surgeon will remove the mole and surrounding tissue. Follow up treatment may be an option, depending on the prognosis. Melanoma is treatable and you too can be a survivor. Contact www.cancer.org with any questions.
——————————
8. The lightest concentration of fragrance is cologne. This should be applied liberally in a spray or splash form. An eau de toilette is stronger and can be applied lightly or liberally. The most concentrated form of a fragrance is perfume (parfum), which contains the most essential oils and so is the longest lasting form of the fragrance. Dab perfume onto pulse points (wrist, behind ears, in cleavage, behind the knees). Cologne or eau de toilette can be used along with a dab of perfume.
——————————
9. Daily beauty care is not sufficient to cleanse the epidermis from impurities that produce a dull complexion. The skin has to be cleansed deeply once or twice a week in order for it to be totally clear and smooth. Using a facial mask will give you a beautiful glow to your complexion.
——————————
10. The prime cause of pimples and blackheads is usually not the make-up but the cleansing routine. You must be very thorough when removing make-up at the end of the day. Never be tempted to go to sleep without cleansing your face. You might also like to add a cleansing lotion and toner to your nightly routine. Do not use soap. Deep cleansing your face will prevent your pores from becoming clogged which enable bacteria to grow..
——————————
11. You must treat the skin on your neck as gently as the skin on your face. Otherwise, your neck will appear dry and wrinkled, compared to the smooth, treated skin on your face. Remember to cleanse, tone, and moisturize your neck just as often as you do the rest of your face with alcohol free products.
